Anne-Marie MBE!

We are very pleased to announce that Anne-Marie, our beloved treasurer and long term Triangle supporter, has been awarded an MBE. Many congratulations to Anne-Marie for the much deserved recognition of her tireless work.
Anne-Marie's award primarily recognises her thirty years pioneering service to the University of London. Having built up career development and employability services to educational institutions and corporate clients across Europe as well as to the University, she was until recently Director of the University’s internationally renowned careers service, The Careers Group.  She is currently engaged in developing additional student services for the higher education sector.
It costs £65,000 a year to keep the Triangle open and raising that amount presents a serious problem in hard times. The Chair of the Triangle’s management committee, Jim Clancey, who three years ago won an SLP ‘Our Heros’ award for his work for the playground, said:
“Our whole community sends its warmest congratulations to Anne-Marie. We don’t know how she finds the time, but without her fund-raising efforts and astute management of our finances we would have struggled to sustain our service. And its nice that this richly deserved recognition echoes that from an earlier age, for the Triangle’s original founder, Marjorie Porter, a lifelong supporter of children’s rights in Lambeth, was also honoured with an MBE.”
