Come rain or shine, the fun never stops at Triangle. Here is just a taste of life at the Triangle Adventure Playground...

FRee play & nature play

Home to wild overgrown nooks the Triangle offers endless imaginary play. Key to developing a sense of adventure and risk taking in a safe environment, the wildlife and nature of Triangle is a vibrant aspect of the young people's play. Slug races and bird houses are just two ways the young people like to embrace their surroundings.

Swings & Structures

Forever a favourite at Triangle are our large swings and structures. Including tyre, tango and platform swings not forgetting to mention our zipwire, trampoline and the tree house tower & slide.

Putting their talents to good use, the young people have built whole huts, outdoor pizza ovens and stools to name but a few. The Triangle playworkers are on hand to guide and ensure safety rules are followed as many young people get their first chance to use hammers, saws and spades. Some build toys, others help the upkeep of Triangle itself, re-enforcing their rightful sense of ownership, and many just enjoy a good dig and explore.

Trips & special events

Triangle, whenever possible, provide trips and special opportunities for the young people. Access to these are generally free and offers poentially otherwise unattainable experiences. Southend beach, Crystal Palace FC and Streatham Odeon have all been days out for a group from Triangle. A regular, Snow Camp, is very popular, teaching snowboarding and more each year. Favourite events at Triangle include Bonfire celebrations, camping night and our end of Summer party.

AWArd winning projects

The young people are always proud to show off their playground and talents. Triangle is honoured to have won 3 awards at Playground of the Year Ceremonies in recent years. In 2014 the young people designed and built a model future city which won a £5,000 building grant for Triangle. Explore our Youtube channel to see more of Triangle TV!

team games & sports

A multitide of team games take place at Triangle. Our ethos heavily promotes working together at Triangle and many young people form bonds and friendships through these activities. From football to cricket and everything in between, sports are offered and encouraged, irrespective of age or gender. Triangle is a founder member of the local adventure playground football league.

arts crafts & indoor fun

It may be small but the Triangle hut fits in a lot of activity. One part hosts table tennis and pool competitions, in another board games abound whilst the arts and crafts fill the room. The young people show their flair and talent for visual creativity and physical dexterity producing a huge range of artworks, craft skills and models.

Fresh food & allotment

Rhubarb, plums, blackberries and more grow in Triangle. The young people enjoy watering Triangle and our allotment is a great source of food and fun, everyone is welcome to grab a handful from our giant rosemary bush. Each day in the holidays, using a simple camping stove and oven, the young people together with a playworker make meals to feed all at Triangle, usually forty plus! This led to the young people making their own recipe book, available here.
