Positive people making a positive impact. At Triangle volunteers have proved crucial to our continued success.
two types of volunteer
the local hero
Generally we at Triangle have different types of volunteers. One represents the local community and Triangle's position at the heart of it. A great example of this volunteer would be our playworker, Danny, 18 years old. Danny and his younger brother have been regular Triangle attendees since the age of6. Working initially as a young volunteer from the age of 14, Danny and Triangle worked together to obtain a grant which allowed us to hire Danny for summer 2013 as a part time playworker. He has since graduated further and is now a full time member of the staff alongside his college studies. Danny has proved an excellent addition to the staff, much loved and respected by all the young people and staff alike. Having grown up attending Triangle then volunteering and now a playworker, he is just one of many examples of the positive impact Triangle has on young people throughout their life.
Another young person whom Triangle helped gain employment is featured here on our latest news.
good cause...good business
Combining teambuilding with a great cause is the perfect day out from the office. In recent years we have benefited greatly from corporate voluntary days. Many hands make light work and a team of volunteers working hard together for one day can reinvigorate the playground. Helping tidy, build ponds, paint structures, plant flowers and trees all in exchange for a hot cup of tea, it has proved a great experience for all concerned and we are very grateful to all who have given their time and energy to Triangle.
