Triangle Youth Club May - July 2025

The Triangle is launching a Youth Club for May - July.

The age range is 11 - 17 and the youth club will take place once or twice a week for 10 weeks, generally on Friday evenings from 6.30pm - 8.30pm. The activities will be aimed towards older children and we will have visiting sports coach and artists workshops on occasion. Snacks will also be provided in session. Your child has expressed an interest in attending. Even if your child is already registered with Triangle we will need a Youth Club Member registration form filled out before they can attend the Youth Club.

triangle youth club rules for young people

The young people and play workers worked together to create a set of rules that all must follow.

Respect all other users

Respect and look after the Triangle equipment

No fighting, bullying or swearing

No spitting or throwing litter

Breaking the rules will lead to a time out for the young person. We believe in helping our young people learn from mistakes and always aim to solve arguments with an apology.

Anyone in possession of illegal items such as vapes, drugs or weapons will be excluded from Youth Club and Triangle.

Instances of serious misbehaviour such as abuse of staff, not following rules repeatedly and theft will lead to a ban from site for a specified amount of time decided by our play worker team. Parents and carers will be contacted accordingly.

In addition we have had a few complaints from our neighbours and local residents of disruptive and anti social behaviour from young people when they leave the Triangle, and so please reiterate the message for them to leave the premises quietly and in a respectful manner. If this does happen, we will prohibit any young people from attending and could put the Youth Club sessions at risk of cancellation.

SAFEGUARDING AND POLICIES

Safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk means protecting them from abuse or neglect, getting the right support in place as early as possible and creating an environment in which they feel safe and healthy. Each local authority has a duty to do so and Lambeth Council is committed to working with the residents and all organisations in the borough, such as the NHS, family doctors, police, education, the Ambulance service, as well as all care providers and voluntary and community sector organisations and faith groups to achieve this. The Lambeth Safeguarding website provides information and support for professionals, children and adults.
